Behemendi is the Rural Development Association of the Donostialdea-Bidasoa Region. The Association is made up of the region’s Town Council representatives, trade union representatives, farming co-ops and associations.
There are 26 members altogether, 13 of whom are town councils and, 13 farming and rural organisations.
The Association was set up in 1993 to create and organise rural farming services in the valley to respond to the rural population needs.
