Urumea
The Urumea is a fast meandering river. It begins in Navarre in Ezkurra pass, criss-crosses natural and rural landscapes in the valley of Ereñotzu and Nature Park of Aiako Harria, passing through industrialised areas and flows into the cosmopolitan Donostia-San Sebastián.
Moreover, the Urumea river has a long history. It once had 16 fluvial ports, a Royal Anchor Factory on its shore and charged tolls, since it was an authentic highway in those times.
