Andatza-Irisasi is the mountain of the people from Usurbil
Belonging to Orreaga Monastery in the 11th century, the wood of its forests was highly appreciated by the shipbuilders and their quarries provided large milling stones.
Today it provides most of the water used in Usurbil.
The route starts in Santuenea district.
After crossing through pine tree and chestnut forests, we can enjoy extensive views of Donostialdea from the peak of Andatza.
We’ll descend to Txokoalde district to continue along the Oria riverbank back to the start of the route.
